Diff Pinion Oil Seal Original Viton Specification For Land Rover Axles (Not Salisbury Style).

This Seal Is Manufactured In Original Viton Material Which Has a Higher Temperature Range Than Cheaper Nitrile Material.

Note Apart From Salisbury There Were 4 Other Types Of Diff Pinion Oil Seal Fitted So If You Have Defender Or Discovery I, VIN Number And Axle Serial Number Are Essential For Correct Identification. The Serial Number Is Stamped On The Front Or Top Of The Axle Casing, On The Left Hand Side (roughly in line with the axle breather).
Serial Numbers Comprise A 3-figure Code, Identifying The Axle Type, Followed By The Serial Number And Then A Suffix Letter (A, B or C).

Also There Is The Possibility Of The Vehicle Having Had An Axle Change Or A Recon Diff Fitted. If At All Possible It Is Ideal To Take The Old Seal Out First To Identify. We Usually Have All Types In Stock So There Is Little Delay In Identifying By This Route.
