Land Rover Defender Model Information

The Land Rover Defender initially started life as the Land Rover 90 and Land Rover 110 and was developed from the original Land Rover Series .Production ran from 1983 until 2016 when on 29 January 2016  the last Defender, H166 HUE, rolled off the production line. The name change from Land Rover 90 and Land Rover 110 to Defender 90 and Defender 110 came with the introduction of the Discovery.

Body styles included a 3-door, 5-door, 2-door single cab pickup, 4-door double cab pickup and a 2 door hardtop.

Transmission options included the 5 speed manual LT77 gearbox, 5 speed manual R380 gearbox, 4 speed automatic ZF 4HP22 and the 6 speed GFT MT82 manual gearbox.

Engine choices included the 2.8L BMW M52B28 petrol , 3.9L Rover V8 Petrol,2.5L 200 Tdi turbodiesel , 2.5L 300Tdi turbodiesel , 2.5L Td5 turbodiesel and the 2.2L & 2.4L Ford Duratorq turbodiesel.
